Last week, The Sims 4's long-awaited medieval castle DLC accidentally leaked on the EA app, but now it has been officially announced and is set to launch tomorrow on all platforms alongside the goth fashion kit.
These packs were voted for by the community last May, beating out High Tech Futurism and Rainbow Core. With them both, you'll be able to transform your home into a luxury castle complete with portcullis gates and llama gargoyles, while dressing your Sims in platform shoes and gothic gloves.
Oh my goth! Your Sims are in for a real grim treat as they embody the darkness of goth fashions through a closet full of stark black clothing full of textures and embellishments. Variety isn’t always exclusive to colour, and this is expressed in this iconic fashion style.
Above, you can see the new attire in action, where we also find out that goths love talking about spiders when they're partying… apparently. Otherwise, you can see all of the items included in both packs pictured below.
"Gothic arches, portcullis, grand entry doors, stackable ornate windows and grand staircases allow your Sim to descend into the past and embrace the medieval architecture of centuries ago," the blog post reads.
"Your manor is also sure to be the most magnificent with gorgeous stonework and large portcullis gates that encompass the property. Relax in your lavish fortress surrounded by parapet fences, colourful stained glass, slim arrow slits and even llama gargoyles."
There's no word yet on the price, but the EA app leak listed the Castle Estate Kit at the standard £4.99 (£4.49 with EA Play).
It's unclear if the two castles used to show off the new kit will be included or uploaded to the gallery, but already fans are calling on EA to let them explore these lavish keeps so that they don't have to put together their own.
Others, however, are asking once again for empty worlds so that they can adorn them with castles and fantasy homes, with one fan even vowing to rebuild Baldur's Gate 3. The kids yearn for The Sims Medieval.
There is one slight problem that players have raised, however, and that's the lack of items. Without medieval decor, you'll have to rely on the base game and other DLC to decorate your castle's interior, which might look somewhat out of place. But hey, you can always use the castle as a backdrop for a goth rave.
