Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Transformation Confirmed For Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

The latest issue of V-Jump has seemingly confirmed that Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken will be a transformation ability in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Even though the last trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was only two minutes long and focused exclusively on Goku and Vegeta, it still gave us a ton of new information about the game. Although the confirmation of Giant characters and classic Budokai Tenkaichi combos was great for longtime fans, the most exciting thing was getting to see nearly all of Goku and Vegeta's transformations, from Super Saiyan all the way to Super Saiyan Blue.

Considering how many forms and variations were shown off in the most recent trailer, you might assume that Goku and Vegeta don't have any transformations left and won't take up more than 24 slots of the game's massive roster. That might not be the case, however, as the latest issue of V-Jump has seemingly confirmed that Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken is its own transformation and not just an ultimate over that Goku (Super) can use.

As showcased and translated by Twitter user ShonenGameZ, the latest issue of V-Jump featured a deep dive into Goku and Vegeta's many forms in Sparking Zero, giving us even more details about how their transformations work in-game. On Goku's page, a screenshot is shown of Super Saiyan Blue Goku with a caption that reads, "With the new transformation you will be able to have a well-balanced battle. You can also become Blue Kaioken".

That last part is interesting, as the most recent trailer for Sparking Zero only gave us a brief glimpse at Goku using Kaioken in his Super Saiyan Blue form. It wasn't confirmed as a transformation then and doesn't appear on the game's roster, which led many to believe that it would only show up as part of an ultimate attack.

Although V-Jump could just be saying that it can be used as part of a special move, the way it's described sounds more like it's a unique transformation that he can access. Since Z Goku's Kaioken does actually appear take up a slot on the game's roster, it seems likely that's going to be the case for Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken as well.
