Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy is a Lego show coming to Disney Plus on September 13, but if you want a sneak peek of what it's going to be like before then, a set that epitomizes its premise is available starting today. Lego's Dark Falcon set is centered around a black Millennium Falcon that's piloted by Star Wars villains instead of heroes because in Rebuild The Galaxy, everything is the opposite of what it should be in a galaxy far, far away.
Everything being turned on its head means the characters are opposite to how you know them too. That means the characters you'll find on the Dark Falcon aren't iconic Star Wars villains, they are iconic Star Wars heroes that have become villains. One of the six Minifigures included with the Dark Falcon set is a character you see emerging from the ship in Rebuild The Galaxy's trailer – Darth Jar Jar. An evil version of everyone's favorite Gungan complete with his own red lightsaber.
The evil characters included in the Dark Falcon set far outweigh the good ones. Darth Jar Jar is joined on the Dark Falcon by Darth Rey, Darth Dev, and a Bounty Hunter version of C-3PO. Luke Skywalker appears to have avoided the Dark Side and is just a relaxed beach version of his Jedi self, kicking back with a carton of blue milk. The one shining light among the otherwise evil Minifigures is the last place a Star Wars fan would expect to find hope – Vader. Trading his black armor for white, this take on the character is Jedi Vader, fighting for the light side of the force rather than embracing the dark.

Lego Jedi Vader can do battle with Jar Jar and the set's other villains on the 1,579-piece Dark Falcon. The perfect size for Lego-loving kids and adult Star Wars fans alike, once complete, your Dark Falcon will have functioning shooters and rotating cannons. If there doesn't happen to be a rival Minifigure in your sights, you can equip your chosen character with one of the four lightsabers included with the set. A couple of regular ones and two dual-bladed options too, one of which is a design I have never seen before.
Lego Star Wars Dark Falcon
Lego Star Wars' Dark Falcon set is pulled from Rebuild The Galaxy, a Disney Plus show that reimagines Star Wars if all of the roles in its galaxy were flipped. Made up of 1,579 pieces, the set includes six Minifigures, Darth Jar Jar and Jedi Vader among them.

2024 has been a huge year for Lego Star Wars so far as this year marks 25 years since the two behemoths first teamed up for their first set. Among the biggest additions to its already-massive Lego Star Wars collection so far this year has been an Imperial Star Destroyer and TIE Interceptor. The 25th anniversary Minifigures have also ushered in Lego debuts for a couple of Star Wars video game characters – Star Wars Jedi's Cal Kestis, and Darth Malak from Knights of the Old Republic.
