No good deed goes unrewarded in Baldur’s Gate 3, even if it involves saving a war criminal like Sazza. She raided the Druid Grove with her party to appease her leaders and the absolute but failed miserably. Now, she is spending her last days inside a makeshift prison overlooked by the Tieflings.
This straightforward quest requires you to bring along party members proficient in deception, intimidation, and persuasion. This will allow you to navigate the underground passage and avoid fights, allowing you to escort Sazza safely.
Sazza location in Baldur’s Gate 3
Sazza is kept hostage in a makeshift prison (X: 196, Y: 608) in the northernmost part of Druid Grove. This area is past the market in the Hollow to the right.

Sazza can’t be romanced or recruited as a companion.
Once you reach there, a cutscene will trigger where two Tieflings will be threatening a prisoner goblin. They want to shoot her for her crimes. You can intervene and make them go away.
Now talk to Sazza; she will promise to broker a dialogue between you and goblin leaders if you save her. This will start the Save the Goblin Sazza quest in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Save the Goblin Sazza Quest Walkthrough
You can open her prison cell by using a lockpick and passing a dexterity check. Go behind her cage to find a rocky path. Jump on the path to find a Stone Door (X: 172, Y: 424). This leads to the Underground Passage.
This area is full of guardian statues and hostile goblins. Your main task is to keep Sazza alive. Ungroup Astarion or someone with high dexterity and send them to disarm the statues. You can do this by finding and pressing the guardian slates.

This is the same area where you can find and use the charred key.
Once all the statues are disabled, you can safely take Sazza to the next stone door (X: -427, Y: -234), which leads to the forest. This will make Sazza happy, and she will ask you to meet her in the Goblin Camp. A quest marker will appear on your map.
Once you pass the bridge to reach Goblin Camp, Sazza will appear and take you to her leader, Nightwarden Minthara. Don’t take detours; follow her lead. She will try to betray you, but Minthara will take your side, as you are also a true soul.
Minthara will order Sazza to be killed, but you can intervene to save her again. This is very important to earn the She Cannot Be Caged achievement. Completing the Save the Goblin Sazza quest in Baldur’s Gate 3 will complete the quest, and you will receive an Assassin’s Touch dagger as a reward.
To earn the achievement, progress through Act 2 to reach Moonrise Towers. Once you enter the throne room, a cutscene will trigger, and Ketheric Thorm will decide the fate of four goblins.
Sazza will be among them. You can once again intervene and select the following dialogue options.
- Don’t kill them. They are loyal followers of the absolute.
- They are faithful to the absolute. I will give them that.
- What am I meant to do with them, exactly?
- Release them.
This will make Sazza run away, and you will get the She Cannot Be Caged trophy. This is the last time you will see her, as she doesn’t appear in Act 3.
