How to Complete the Tortured Artist Challenge in Bitlife

Behind every beautiful painting, a terrified artist might struggle to bring their thoughts to the canvas. The latest Bitlife challenge puts you into this perspective, and here’s what you need to do to complete the Tortured Artist Challenge.

Bitlife Tortured Artist Challenge Walkthrough

In order to complete this week’s challenge, you have to complete the following:

  • Be born a female in Illinois
  • Become a painter
  • Insult 5+ different people
  • Recover from an alcohol addiction
  • Troll 5+ people on social media after they’ve trolled you

How to Be Born in Illinois

As you cannot pick Illinois as your birthplace, choose to be born in Chicago instead as it also counts as the state. As you age up, make sure to study harder every year to keep your Smarts status high.

How to Insult 5+ People

You’ll have plenty of chances to insult people as you grow up, but be careful not to be sent to the Principal’s Office if you do it at a young age. Do it sporadically just to make sure nothing bad happens, and there will be many opportunities to do it.

How to Become a Painter

Painter doesn’t require a degree, but you still need at least around 50% Smarts to get the job, so work on those side activities to boost your stat. As you reach adulthood, apply for an Apprentice Painter position to start your career. If you don’t see it at first, keep checking it in later years until you see the position popping up. Once you get the position, keep working harder until you get promoted.

Alternatively, you can pursue an Arts Degree to start your painting career with glamour once you graduate, but this is not necessary.

As this is completely out of your control, this is the hardest part of the challenge by far. Set up your social media accounts and wait until people start attacking you. Attack them back until you manage to do it 5 times. You don’t need to be a painter already to do it, but being famous will give you more followers, increasing the chances of it happening.

This is the trickiest part as you should do it last to avoid losing your job. After you’ve completed all the previous objectives, start visiting the Nightclub until you develop an Alcohol addiction. It could take a while until someone offers you something alcohol. If you manage to get addicted, you might risk losing your job on the spot. However, this is the time to visit the Rehab until you finally get cured of your addiction.

If you manage to complete all of these, you will finally earn the Tortured Artist Ribbon, finally completing another weekly challenge! Just make sure to leave the rehab portion last, as this could ruin your other steps thanks to your newfound addiction. But with that aside, this is another easy ribbon for your collection. Good luck!
