Helldivers 2: How to Beat Hulks

With differing levels of difficulty, there are a variety of enemies that aim to make life hard for players in Helldivers 2. Of course, there is always the choice to stick to the more forgiving levels, but the higher the risks, the better the rewards. However, ramping up the challenge means dealing with increasingly threatening foes, and for the Automatons, the Hulk enemies are certainly one of the most dangerous ones out there.

With three types of Hulks to watch out for, not paying attention when these enemies appear will only spell certain doom for players. However, with smart thinking and capable weaponry at your disposal, beating Hulks in Helldivers 2 can be a much smoother affair. Read on to find out just how to do that.

In any of the harder Automaton missions, the threat of the Hulks will definitely be present, which is why it is imperative that players know exactly how to deal with the enemy. This will require making good use of both Helldivers 2's support weapons and Stratagems alike, giving you more options when it comes to eliminating this foe.

With heavy armor and hard-hitting weaponry, players will need to rely on their smarts to win out. First, be sure to get your hands on the likes of the Railgun or Autocannon, which are effective against enemy armor. Having powerful and focused Eagle Strikes or Orbital Strikes are also good backups when a Hulk is striding about.

Whether fighting alone or as part of a Helldivers 2 group, the general strategy in facing a Hulk is to target its weak point, which is the glowing area at its back. A precise shot with a charged Railgun can kill it instantly, and explosives work well as well. However, if that is not possible, consider destroying both its arms with concentrated fire, which will remove the majority of the threat from the Hulk. You can then throw in your Orbital Lasers or bombing runs to finish the job.

This works for any of the Hulk variants, but be sure to always take cover and have someone distract the enemy if possible. Keep practicing, and not even the mighty Hulk will stand in your way in due time.
