Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Physical Copies Are Out In The Wild

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is only an agonizingly short 10 days away, and we're getting to the point where we'll soon need to lock down our social media accounts for fear of spoilers. Key story details have reportedly already started making their way to TikTok, Twitter, and Reddit over the past week, seemingly because some people have already managed to get their hands on a physical copy of the game.

A Reddit user called MedicineOwn3819 shared a picture of a physical copy of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on the series' subreddit earlier today. According to them, it's not their physical copy and is rather an image of somebody else's copy, but regardless of its source, it does prove that physical copies of the game have started making their way into the hands of fans a little over a week before release.

While the image doesn't include the copy's front cover, it does show off a look at the inside of the case. Everything looks fairly legitimate, and the case even has a flappy section for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's second disc. There are a variety of pre-order bonus leaflets in the case too, unfortunately obstructing the view of the reversible cover art, but it does seem to be a genuine physical copy out in the wild.

If you've been on social media for any length of time, you'll know exactly what this means. The floodgates have essentially been opened now, and more and more people will be getting their hands on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth over the coming days. That means, if you want to avoid spoilers and go in as fresh as possible, it's time to mute certain keywords on Twitter and make sure you're fully locked down until you can get the game in your hands and play through it.

Until then, there's the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo to get stuck into, which is being updated in the next couple of days to add a brand-new section that will let players explore the open world. It's also during this update that we'll see the game's Performance Mode visuals improve, as Square Enix acknowledged earlier this week that the graphics for the mode weren't quite up to the expected standard and will be fixed before launch.
