Fellowship Class Tier List

This Fellowship Class Tier List ranks the currently available classes available as of Open Beta. These classes may be tuned differently when early access begins, and will be updated accordingly.

All rankings are opinionated based on our vast experience thus far in closed play-tests and in the open beta weekend.

Tariq has been intentionally left off this list as we have not seen him perform since earlier builds of the game. As he was not available in open beta, he will be left off the list until seen in early access.

Ranking Criteria

The rankings are based on three key factors:

  1. Effectiveness at Role – How well the class performs its intended function (DPS, tank, etc.).
  2. Damage Output (for DPS) – Both consistency and scaling as gear improves.
  3. Difficulty of Play – How easy or challenging the class is to pick up and perform well with.

S Tier

Mara (DPS)

maxresdefault

Mara starts off relatively weak in terms of DPS, but once she reaches green gear and above her potential skyrockets. Builds like the Hemorrhaging Strike Build allow her to dominate the charts, shredding through enemies with sustained pressure. She can be harder to master than some DPS classes at first, but is not overly complex. For players who invest the time to learn her kit, Mara becomes unstoppable and takes the top DPS slot.

Meiko (Tank)

maxresdefault (1)

Meiko earns her place in S-Tier thanks to her high skill ceiling and versatility. She has complicated combos that are hard to master, but once you feel comfortable with her combos, her utility and overall survivability is unmatched. She's even able to live through some bosses solo when the combos are delivered appropriately. You may see more Helenas out there while players get used to the game, but expect to see Meikos topping the tank charts when competing for top dungeon ratings.

A Tier

Ardeos (DPS)

While Ardeos delivers strong, easy-to-access damage early on, he doesn't scale as much as Mara once players unlock her abilities and talents. In early dungeons, Ardeos shines and he certainly can continue to shine, but Mara overtakes him in the role. Ardeos' kit is simple, reliable, and still outputs respectable numbers, and that's why he lands in A tier.

Helena (Tank)

hq720

Helena is an extremely low skill-floor tank with a well-rounded skillset. She is so easy to pick up and start tanking with, thanks to her likeness to World of Warcraft's Paladin class. Her kit is easy to understand, and her defensive cooldowns for the most part are "click it and forget about it"; they don't require exact timing or specific situations, just use it when you are taking too much damage. She is straight forward and tanks well, while easily dishing out good DPS as well.

Sylvie (Healer)

SYLVIE-1

Sylvie is currently the best healer thanks to her healing over time spells. She's able to set her butterflies on different party members to keep them up with various heals. This means less reactive emergency situations, and smoother sailing overall.

B Tier

Vigour (Healer)

maxresdefault (2)

Vigour lands in B tier due to being overshadowed by Syliva. While not a bad pick, he doesn’t excel in anything compared to Sylvia, the only other healing option at the moment.

Rime (DPS)

fellowship rime preview

Since the release of Mara and Ardeos in testing phases, Rime, your typical frost mage, has fallen down the list. Rime is generally easy to play, but quickly out DPSed by the current alternatives.

Final Thoughts:

  • Meiko and Mara define the current top tier. Meiko’s mastery potential makes her invaluable for both survivability and utility while tanking, and Mara’s scaling DPS lets her dominate damage charts once geared and understood.
  • Helena, Ardeos, and Sylvie sit comfortably in A tier as strong, consistent picks. Helena offers a tank option that’s both effective and easy to learn, Ardeos remains beginner-friendly with strong early-game damage but is outshined by Mara, while Sylvie brings solid reliability in her role with easy uptime on heals.
  • Rime and Vigour fall into B tier. Rime is simple to play but outpaced by current alternatives. Vigour struggles to stand out in healing compared to Sylvia.

Overall, the current meta favors high-ceiling mastery classes and scaling DPS over straightforward but less impactful picks.
