Most plushes are made to be cuddled and hugged. That's why they're soft and fluffy. Not all of them, though. Plush clips, for example, have been made to be taken with you wherever you go. Smaller soft toys with a clip attached so they can hang from your backpack. Pokemon has a lot of plush clips to choose from with more coming soon, but the new collection has an additional twist. These plush clips are modeled after what Pokemon look like once their HP has been drained.
Pokemon don't die when they lose a battle, something I had to assure my four-year-old son of recently. They faint, pass out, keel over, whatever way you want to put it, and a surefire way to know that's happened when there's no health bar to keep track of is their eyes. A Pokemon's eyes will turn into spirals when they pass out, as you can see in the new range of plush clips shared in the thread below by PokeJungle.
Part of Pokemon's Chikara Tsukita collection, the plush clips are expected to be available through the Pokemon Center soon, although it's unclear if they will be Japanese exclusives. If you can't wait until then – or for the plushes to potentially be rolled out worldwide – all six of them are available now at Meccha Japan, all priced at $11.20, which isn't bad at all.
The additions to the range also include a nice spread of Pokemon from various generations rather than a focus on the original 151, which is often the case when it comes to toys and plushes. The only clip from the six new plushes that originates from Kanto is Charizard. Also coming to the Chikara Tsukita collection is Meowscrada, and one that isn't a Pokemon at all. It's just an apple core, presumably left behind by a hungry Pokemon, that has been labeled Leftovers.
If little Pokemon plushes aren't your thing, go the opposite way and grab something from a range of life-size toys. Plushes that have been made to the exact dimensions of the Pokemon from the games, giving you a better idea of how it would feel if they were real. Funko has also released a Deluxe Pop! Moment showcasing the first time we were tasked with choosing our starter Pokemon.
